Fair questions
Plain answers on who funds the deal, documents, estimates, credit, payments and privacy.
Who you are dealing with
Are you a bank?
No. Rock Solid Financing LLC is a business-purpose finance company in Sarasota, Florida, working mainly with the stone industry. We offer equipment financing and lease-purchase. When a partner lender is the better fit for a request, we place it there and stay your contact.
Do you only finance stone equipment?
Most of what we finance is for stone fabrication and processing: saws and sawjets, CNC, edge polishers, cranes, water recycling and the rest of the shop. If your business is in another trade, ask us; the same application covers it.
Do you fund every deal yourselves?
Not every one. Some requests suit a partner bank or funding source better, because of their size, the term or the equipment. The application asks your agreement to share it with a partner for that purpose, and we tell you which partner before you accept any offer.
Do you finance personal purchases?
No. Everything here is for business purposes only: equipment and purchases a business uses to operate. We don't finance personal, family or household purchases.
Applying
How long does the application take?
About ten minutes with the details to hand. It saves as you go, and the link we email you lets you finish later on any device.
What do I need to apply?
- The business: legal name, EIN, address, time in business and a contact.
- The owners: name, title, ownership share, date of birth and home address for each. A Social Security number only where the review needs it.
- The equipment: what it is, new or used, the seller and the price. A quote or invoice helps.
- The three most recent business bank statements.
The quote and the statements can both follow after the application goes in.
Do you finance used machines?
Yes, bought from a dealer or from another shop. Tell us the machine, its age and the seller in the application, and attach the quote or bill of sale if you have one. A used machine can be priced or termed differently from a new one; the offer says how, in writing.
Can I apply without bank statements?
Yes. Choose “Later” at the documents step and the application goes in without them. We email you a secure link to upload them, and a person from Rock Solid follows up. Most offers need them, so send them when you can.
I have a quote from a dealer. What now?
Apply here and attach the quote at the documents step, or send it later through the secure link we email you. If your dealer gave you its own application link, use that one, so we know who to keep informed. The application, statements and quote come to Rock Solid, not to the dealer.
Rates, credit and tax
What does the estimate include?
The monthly payment, the total of payments and the finance charge for the price, deposit and term you choose, at an illustrative 15% effective annual rate, with the $295 documentation fee paid at signing. It is an estimate, not an offer. Rate and terms are set after review, in writing.
Is the estimate’s rate my rate?
Not necessarily. The estimate uses one illustrative rate for everyone. The rate in an offer follows the review: the business, its bank statements, the owners’ credit and the equipment. It can be higher or lower.
Does applying affect my credit?
The application asks your permission before we check credit, and says what we check: business credit reports, and a consumer credit report on each owner who signs. If you would like to know more before you start, ask us.
Why do you need bank statements?
They show how money moves through the business, which a credit score alone cannot. We use them to review your request and keep them as the privacy policy describes.
Can I deduct the machine?
Possibly. Section 179 of the tax code lets many businesses deduct the price of qualifying equipment, bought outright or financed, in the year it is placed in service, up to a yearly limit. Whether it applies, and how much, depends on your business, the agreement and the tax year, so ask your tax adviser; we don’t give tax advice.
Offers and funding
How long does a decision take?
It depends on the request and how complete the file is; a complete application with statements moves fastest. We don’t promise a time. Your portal and our emails show where it stands.
How is the seller paid?
Once the agreement is signed and any conditions in the offer are met, the seller is paid directly, by Rock Solid or by the partner that funds it. You arrange delivery with the seller.
Can I pay early?
Your agreement says what happens if you pay early. Ask before you sign and we will show you in writing.
Payments and your portal
How do I make payments?
Your agreement sets the payment dates and how to pay. Your portal shows the schedule, what has been paid and what comes next.
What if a payment will be late?
Tell us before the due date. Late charges and any charge on past-due amounts are set out in your agreement.
Security and privacy
How is my information kept?
Files travel over an encrypted connection, are encrypted again when stored, and are kept outside the website’s public folders. Only Rock Solid staff working on your file can open them. We don’t sell your information.
Who sees my documents?
Rock Solid staff working on your file. If a partner bank or funding source is the better fit, the application and its documents go to that partner with the agreement you give in the application, and we tell you which partner before you accept any offer.
Getting help
How do I reach a person?
Send a message from the contact page, or ask for a call back there, and a person from Rock Solid replies.
I sell equipment. Can my customers apply through you?
Yes. The partners page explains how dealers, vendors and brokers send customers to one application and see where each request stands.
